March is Our International Women's Month

Every year, 8^th March is dedicated to celebrating the power, influence and achievements of women across the globe. However, we didn’t feel 24 hours was enough to pay homage to the female force. For this reason, we’re dedicating the entire month of March to women.

At Edge of Ember, a brand founded by a woman and powered by a female-led team, we wholeheartedly believe in doing anything we can to give ladies a platform to lift each other up and to support and courage one another to be the best possible versions of themselves. Above all, we know that women are most powerful when they work together.

There are a few things we’re doing in support of women all over the world; firstly, we’ve launched our Everywoman Together IGTV series; a celebration of our creative female community. As you should know by now, our inspiration has always been You; our hub of smart and talented women across the globe.

Our IGTV series shares creative content, featuring some of the remarkable women we’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with over the years. Here they’ll post their tips, advice and inspiration behind what they do, as well as host exclusive workshops on self-love, confidence, interior design, gardening, and of course, how to make the best Friday night cocktails (because we all need to know the secret to that one).

    

Our Everywoman Together Gallery is our space to showcase female talent. We have partnered with four illustrators: Rose England, Pearlyn Koh, Sonya Robine and Octavia Thorns. Each of whom have designed 3 exclusive prints, forming our inspirational twelve print female-focused collection.

We’ve also proudly partnered with Solace Women's Aid, the leading domestic violence charity, offering free advice and support to women and children in London. Their aim is to help build safe and strong lives for women, through their missions to end abuse and violence. We’re so proud that our online sample sale in January was a huge success, raising £4,500, with 100% of those profits donated to the charity.

And of course, we had to introduce a new timeless piece; the Fearless Necklace. A classic gold coin pendant for the bold and brave; to be worn as a symbol of solidarity, courage and confidence. Through sales of the necklace, we are supporting Women for Women International, who sponsor female survivors of war. A charity we have supported for the past three years; since 1993, Women for Women International have reached more than half a million survivors in Afghanistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Iraq, Kosovo, Nigeria, Rwanda and South Sudan.

As a female-led team, our mission at Edge of Ember will always be to empower and elevate women worldwide. We'll continue to do that, whatever the month might be.
